two.1.4) Short description

The Newcastle University Structural Biology Facility, within FMS, provides equipment and support to research groups seeking atomic resolution information about their protein targets. The Facility is looking to provide two crystallization plate incubators (4 °C and 20 °C) with imaging capability. The scope of this contract is for the delivery, installation and commissioning of this equipment, training, warranty and maintenance and servicing. The full specification is detailed in Section 3 of this ITT. Suppliers must submit an offer for the full scope of requirements detailed in Section 3, failure to do so will result in exclusion from the tender process.

Newcastle University is not classified as a contracting authority and as such is not obliged to comply with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR), although we may choose to do so if required by a public funding body. For the avoidance of doubt, this opportunity is not being tendered as a regulated procedure under PCR but will follow an equivalent procedure deemed by the University to be fair and transparent.
