British Council’s Visual Arts team manages the British Council Collection of nearly 9,000 works of modern and contemporary art. The main objectives of this tender are to procure a Spectrum compliant database collections management system and option for a linked public catalogue website of artworks and publications owned by or on loan to the British Council, migrating all data from the current system. Examples of artwork data include: accession numbers, titles, artists, categories, descriptions, themes, media attachments, documents, condition notes, movements, packing information, copyright, acquisition, valuation, exhibition and loan records.
