The Phenome Centre Birmingham at the University of Birmingham invites tenders for supply of TWO bench-top, high resolution accurate mass Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry instruments to provide high-throughput and robust untargeted metabolomics of human (and human model) biofluids, cells and tissue samples. The instruments will be used to identify and semi-quantify up to thousands of metabolites per sample using semi-targeted methods.
The equipment will be used in the Phenome Centre Birmingham to conduct collaborative research projects and service work. This research facility utilises of a suite of mass spectrometry instrumentation for targeted and untargeted metabolite analysis and metabolite identification, specifically:
• Three Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 UHPLC systems coupled to Q Exactive Focus mass spectrometers
• Two Thermo Scientific UltiMate 3000 UHPLC systems coupled to TSQ Quantiva triple quadrupole mass spectrometers
• Thermo Scientific Orbitrap Elite mass spectrometer
