This notice is published to advertise a pre-procurement engagement being conducted by Newcastle International Airport Limited ('NIAL')

NIAL is seeking expressions of interest and feedback from interested parties in respect of a forthcoming procurement process for Runway Rehabilitation Works.

This notice has been prepared by NIAL to give an overview of the Runway Rehabilitation Works procurement and contains details on a pre-procurement engagement session.

This pre-procurement exercise is open to all parties who are interested (or may be interested) in tendering for the Runway Rehabilitation Works contract.

Please note that invitations to (and information on) future related pre-procurement engagement events or activities may be provided only to those persons who have registered an interest. No further notice of those subsequent pre-procurement events or activities will be given to the wider market. Interested Parties are therefore encouraged to register your details and interest.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Newcastle International Airport is the North East's largest airport located about 6 miles northwest of Newcastle City Centre. The Airport consists of a single tarmac runway facilitating commercial, private and cargo flights on a daily basis.

As part of the asset maintenance programme NIAL has commenced the renewal of its main asset, the single tarmac runway with the programme being split into three projects:

1. AGL Design

2. AGL Equipment Procurement

3. Runway Rehabilitation Works

The AGL Design work has been completed and a procurement process is currently in the final stages to appoint a Supplier to deliver the AGL Equipment.

This pre-procurement engagement is for the final project, the Runway Rehabilitation Works. The Runway Rehabilitation Works consist of a localised keel inlay and full resurface, including all taxiways to CAT 2/3 holds.

The procedure will follow the restricted procedure concluding with the appointment of a single contractor to deliver the Runway Rehabilitation Works.

A pre-procurement engagement event will take place on 25th October 2023, in which NIAL will provide an overview of the forthcoming procurement process and seek feedback from interested parties. To register for the pre-procurement engagement event please e-mail NIALAGLProcurement@aecom.com
