The service will provide psychological therapies treatment for people aged 18 and over with a common mental illness. The service will deliver Step 2 and Step 3 interventions, and clinicians will use GAD7 and PHQ-9 scores and other clinical indicators to determine the level of intervention required.
The provider is expected to follow the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies manual to implement and deliver effective assessment and treatment.
The contract duration is expected to be 3 years with up to a 2-year extension option.
The indicative annual contract value is expected to be in the region of between £20,200,000 - £25,400,000.
The commissioner has published this Prior Information Notice to support pre-market engagement only at this stage.
The objective of this engagement is to help the commissioner finalise the financial model, service model and procurement strategy.
The proposed model is for a 4 lot (geographical locations) approach for this procurement.
This could include a prime provider model in each area with sub-contracting to providers who wish to deliver services and have the community engagement skills to support access from across diverse communities.
Providers are invited to attend a virtual market engagement event on Wednesday 23rd November 2022, 11.00 - 13.00.
Providers will also have the opportunity to book a 1-1 session with the Commissioner to enable them to ask individual questions and discuss the opportunity in more detail.
The ICB will then review feedback and may wish to further engage individually and collectively with potential providers.
