The Family Wellbeing Service will offer a variety of therapeutic counselling and support work interventions on an individual and group basis. The service will support those with low level emotional and mental health needs. The service will support parents and carers alongside and as well as children young people. Support will be both on an individual (1-1) basis and whole family interventions as well as group work where appropriate. This has been identified locally and nationally as a gap in provision and has been exacerbated by the pandemic.
The service will take referrals from the Family Gateway, working in partnership with gateway and parenting staff to provide a coherent set of services for families experiencing difficulties at a preventative level below the threshold of statutory involvement.
