The Council is tendering for a consultant to develop, implement and manage a Climate Support Programme for schools, which will enable schools to realise energy use and carbon emission reductions associated with use of their school building(s). OCC has identified a budget of circa £60,000 per annum for an initial 2 years to enable this, with the option of extending the contract for up to a further year. This support will be primarily aimed at the maintained schools, but the Council would also like the provider to detail the support that can offered to academies either at no extra cost (by using resources produced to support maintained schools) or on a chargeable basis to academies.
