Description

The UK digital identity and attributes trust framework certification process is based on the ISO 17065

standard and has been 'recognised' by the UK Accreditation Service. Independent third-party organisations,

called conformity assessment bodies (CABs), have been authorised by DSIT to conduct conformity

assessment activities in this area as part of a pilot. The pilot process is expected to conclude this year, as

CABs obtain 'accreditation' from the UK Accreditation Service.

The purpose of this is to provide independent assurance activities that will help DSIT and CABs continuously

improve the certification scheme and connected processes, and to support implementation of changes as

required.
