Engagement

Engagement deadline

28 February 2026

Engagement process description

The engagement will use a number of different channels and forums during 2025 and 2026; including but not limited to supplier briefs, requests for information and supplier forum meetings in an aim to identify the level of industry interest, gain feedback on our approach to the commercial management of our portfolio, to further inform our requirement and understand what approaches industry deem may be suitable for the delivery and running of our contracts once awarded.

The first Event will be a SDA Platform and Equipment Delivery Team SUPPLIER CONFERENCE on 4th July 2025 in Bristol from 0900hrs -1300hrs

1. The aim of this early market engagement event (EME) is to commence a conversation between the SDA Platform and Delivery Team (PEDT) and Industry Partners on the new PEDT Future Strategy which will improve "at sea" operational capability, support the successful Dreadnought Transition into Service, ready for operations in December 2030 and enable the pan CADMID aspiration and new PEDT Operating Model outcome. Our relationship with our Industry Partners is critical to achieve this and we will use our Commercial Strategy to outline how we want to work in the future to be able to deliver the PEDT Future Strategy.

2. The PEDT senior leadership team will set out its vision and a high-level overview of aspirations going forward to allow Industry to determine if they have capabilities in this field which the SDA maybe interested in. There will be further, more detailed follow-on workshops programmed throughout 2025 to enable Industry Partners to explore the concepts and challenges in more detail. The details of these events will be published after this initial EME.

3. We are running a hybrid style event. Attendees will be able to decide whether to participate in the event via TEAMS or physically in Bristol. We may need to limit the number of physical attendees per company to accommodate attendance from as many different organisations as possible.

4. We anticipate high interest in this event. therefore subject to appropriate permissions being provided within the event booking form, PEDT will hold a register of parties which will be used for other future events. If oversubscribed, the following criteria will be applied to down select attendees:

a. Minimise numbers of representation from within the same company.

b. Target companies that add capability to the management and maintenance of submarine systems

It should be noted that non-attendance at this event does not preclude organisations from any potential future PEDT procurement activities or events. Information shared at this event will be available to attendees and, upon request, to appropriately cleared organisations.

5. Registration will close at 1700hrs on 25th June 2025. Additional detailed information and joining instructions will be sent out to successful attendees by 1700hrs 27th June 2025.

6. Neither the presentation nor discussions constitute any form of pre-qualification exercise, any formal procurement process will be undertaken in accordance with the relevant Procurement Law. Nothing in the event or any other engagements with Industry prior to a formal procurement process shall be construed as a representation as to the Authority's ultimate decision in relation to any future requirement.
