two.1.4) Short description

Kings Langley School is an Ofsted rated Good mixed Secondary School in Kings Langley, Hertfordshire. It has 1,100 students between the ages of 11 and 18 on roll and 120 teaching and support staff. There is one busy main restaurant with 2 satellite serving units supported by a modern, well equipped kitchen. There is an additional serving area in a POD or a nearby location. The incumbent caterer is Chartwells and the catering team are well-regarded by the school. The contract start date is the 1st of April 2024 and this will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels. This contract will reward maximising sales and FSM uptake through pro-active management and consistently high levels of food quality and tangible contract support.

Kings Langley School is a co-educational Secondary School in Kings Langley. It has 1,087 students between the ages of 11 and 18 on roll of which 13% are entitled to free school meals. There are 105 teaching and support staff. There is one busy main restaurant with two satellite serving areas, a modern, well equipped kitchen and an external POD. There is also scope for developing a new service in the sixth form block. The catering team are well regarded by the school and the team all have NEST pensions. The school is tendering their catering services to deliver the very best service for every student at the school. The contract start date is the 1st of April 2024 and this will be for an initial three-year period. There is an option for both parties to extend the contract for a further two years subject to client satisfaction and client agreement on budgets and service levels. This contract will reward maximising sales and FSM uptake through pro-active management and consistently high levels of food quality and tangible contract support. The School and CCL expect the successful Contractor to guarantee their financial proposal within reason and deliver excellent standards.
