Dorset Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) is looking to commission services for victims of volume crime, Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Standard Risk Domestic Abuse. The Service will offer a range of interventions delivered by a suitably broad range of provision / organisations / staff who can efficiently and effectively meet the diverse needs of victims of across Dorset. The outcome for the victim of receiving the Service is that the victim should be able to, as far as possible, cope with and recover from his or her experience of crime, or anti-social behaviour, or standard risk domestic abuse.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Dorset Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) has commissioned services for victims of volume crime, Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) and Standard Risk Domestic Abuse across Dorset since September 2014. Dorset OPCC is bound to requirements attached to Ministry of Justice (MOJ) funding under the MOJ Formula-based Grant to ‘provide or commission dedicated emotional and practical support services for victims of crime to help them cope and, as far as possible recover from the effects of crime’.

The vision is that all victims of crime and ASB in Dorset will have access to a broad range of local support services to help them cope with, and as far as possible recover from the impact of crime or ASB.

The Service will offer a range of interventions delivered by a suitably broad range of provision / organisations / staff who can efficiently and effectively meet the diverse needs of victims of across Dorset. This diversity may be in the form of protected characteristic, vulnerability, geography or crime type. As a matter of principle, the Service will actively seek feedback and input from its service users and in turn benefit from being a truly co-produced service.

The outcome for the victim of receiving the Service is that the victim should be able to, as far as possible, cope with and recover from his or her experience of crime, or anti-social behaviour.
