Commissioning of Floating Support Services for People with Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis (Substance Misuse) Needs in Leicestershire

Leicestershire County Council are intending to procure a new Floating Support service for People with Mental Health and Dual Diagnosis (Substance Misuse) Needs. Before the procurement is launched, we will be holding a pre-procurement engagement event with the market, which will focus on supporting market readiness for this new service.

The virtual market engagement event is being held on 17 December 2021 and the aim of the event will be to give an overview of the proposed model for delivering a sustainable countywide floating support service. This service is expected to assist people to maintain their own tenancies and to be able to access the correct level of support depending on their fluctuating mental health. It will do this by providing a flexible, “step-up/step-down” model of support that will enable people to live their lives as independently as possible whilst providing support when it is required to prevent the need for residential care or readmission into hospital for this cohort.

Further details of the agenda for the event will be issued to those who express an interest in attending the event. Please note, the event will be held at the following date and time:

• Friday 17th December 2021 at 15.00 – 16.30 p.m.

If you are interested in attending this event, please email Ikram.Mohemmed@leics.gov.uk and you will be provided with the agenda and details for joining the event.

We hope that you will take up this opportunity to learn more about this upcoming procurement.

This notice also serves as advance notice to the market of our intentions and potential bidders are encouraged to register an interest on our e-procurement portal - www.eastmidstenders.org.

We anticipate that the tender opportunity will become available in January 2022 and that the new Contract will commence in June 2022.
