Covering an extensive area and, with a unique built environment, the parliamentary estate is home to thousands of employees with differing workstyles and furniture requirements. In addition, the estate welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year who include tourists, school parties and delegates attending events on the estate. Continuing a programme of essential building upgrade works (mechanical, electrical and security), furniture is being replaced where required as to improve space usage and building efficiency. The scope of the framework will include but may not be limited to supply (including hire), installation of standard office / break out furniture; supply and installation of modified standard furniture (as may be required to support specific working arrangements) and supply and installation of bespoke furniture in the instance that no standard product can satisfy end user and / or other requirement(s). The successful supplier will also be required to provide a full management service and to support the work of IHSE in expediting furniture at the right time; to the required and relevant standards and who will support the Authority in its desire to standardise office workstations and to secure products in the market that has least impact on our environment.
