Oxfordshire County Council (OCC) is currently undertaking an ambitious 20mph ‘signs and lines’ programme across the county. The programme commenced in 2022/23 and is expected to last until 2024/25. The programme expects to implement 20mph limits in 80% of parishes throughout the county. As part of this programme a number of towns and parishes require the replacement of their existing 30mph vehicle activated signs (VAS) with 20mph VAS in areas where the new limits have been introduced. As a result OCC is seeking to procure a 2 year ‘call off’ contract (with the opportunity to extend for a further year) for the removal of existing 30mph VAS and their replacement with 20mph units.
