Description
This procurement is in relation to managing high-risk medical devices and healthcare consumables across the supply chain, in-trust inventory management and point-of-care services which are crucial for enhancing patient safety, supply chain resilience, clinical productivity, and cost efficiency.
NHS Supply Chain is inviting interactions with qualified supplier organisations capable of delivering these services as part of the tender process. The tender will establish a framework agreement encompassing the following service requirements:
-Inventory Management Systems
-Point-of-Care Scanning Systems
-Hardware and devices supporting inventory management and point-of-care scanning
Suppliers are expected to contribute to the development of final requirements based on their ability to deliver one, two, or all of these services. They may bid for individual categories or any combination thereof, with no restrictions. Each category will be evaluated independently, and inclusion in the framework will be awarded accordingly.

Engagement process description
We are starting preliminary market engagement and we are looking to engage with all interested parties and this engagement will consist of:-
Interested parties are being invited to webinar meetings as part of the pre-market engagement process. This will be to provide detail around the current understanding of the framework requirements and seek input and clarifications to the requirements of the services.
These events will be on 12/06/2025 and 17/06/2025 and interested parties can attend either event.
Please express you interest in attending to IMS@supplychain.nhs.uk stating details of attendee(s) and which event you would attend. Confirmation will be provided prior to the event.
Interested parties will be issued the Draft Specification for feedback available for completion up until the deadline date of 25/06/2025.
There is no guarantee that a formal procurement process will be launched as a result of this early market engagement exercise, nor that any contract(s) will be placed. No remuneration or compensation etc will be paid to organisations who take part in this early market engagement exercise. Suppliers should take part in this process only on the basis that they fully understand and accept this position who will then be in contact with the pre-engagement information.
