The Kent Police and Crime Commissioner in collaboration with the Kent VRU wishes to commission the following services,

• Preventative interventions for those children and young people (CYP) up to the age of 25 at risk of serious youth violence, knife offences, drug supply or criminal exploitation

• Protective interventions for those CYP up to the age of 25 who are involved in gangs or violence

Both service elements will be required to deliver trauma informed, needs led approaches with the aim of supporting CYP and their close relatives or immediate support network to reduce risk and prevent serious youth violence, exploitation and gang and county line activity across Kent and Medway.

Delivery must understand and be targeted at key reachable moments with the aim of nurturing positive change in CYP.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

All service requirements will be detailed in a comprehensive service specification, which will be released with the Invitation To Tender. Prior to the release of this tender, we intend to hold a supplier’s engagement programme where more information will be made available. We would therefore encourage attendance to this event as we will be offering the opportunity to ask questions about the tender. We would also be looking to engage with suppliers to understand their views of the service provision.

Anticipated engagement event date: Supplier Engagement dates are subject to change; formal invitations will be sent closer to the event date.

Event 1: Youth Intervention & Prevention: 9th December 2021, am 1.5-hour session

If deemed necessary though engagement of this PIN a second event on ‘How to Tender’ can be facilitated.

Event 2: ‘How to Tender’ 9th December 2021, pm 1.5-hour session.

This is wholly based on the tendering process and understanding the tendering process. There will be no discussion of the specification

You will be invited to attend an on-line Teams meeting where the Authority will host the supplier engagement events
