two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The University of Birmingham intends to contract with Du for the provision of high-speed internet connectivity, business ISDN connections, services and support to the new University of Birmingham Dubai (UoBD) campus building within Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). The new campus opens in September 2021. This contract will be for 2021 to 2024. The contract will be reviewed during 2024 to be republished for 2024.
Du currently provide core network infrastructure service connectivity to DIAC and the UoBD building, and all existing network and telecommunications services. It is imperative to the ongoing success of the project that the University integrates effectively with the existing onsite provision.
Du are the state owned internet provider. Replaces Publication Reference: 2021/S 000-012562 Date: 4 June 2021.
