Description
Wolverhampton City Council are conducting a Preliminary Market Engagement Exercise to seek input from potential suppliers for a Digital Solution for Children Unable to Attend School.
The Council has a statutory duty under the Education Act (1996), to arrange suitable education for children and young people who cannot attend school due to illness, exclusion or other reasons. To meet this obligation a range of options are put in place to provide schools with an alternative approach to ensure consistent learning and support for pupils to reintegrate back into the classroom. One such option is a digital (robot) solution that will provide access to education from within the classroom for pupils who cannot access educational settings, using live stream technology. The aim is to enable selected pupils to stay connected with their teachers and friends, allowing them to participate in regular lessons remotely. Additionally, it supports children who can attend school but face challenges in attending lessons regularly.
The Council would like potential suppliers who can provide this type of solution to take part in our Preliminary Market Engagement so the Council can fully understand what options are available.
