Currently, ORE Catapult is only able to test up to 66 kV systems at its test facility in Blyth. Therefore, ORE Catapult is seeking to upgrade its testing capability in order to test 220kV systems.

four.1) Description

four.1.1) Type of procedure

    • from the liquidator in an insolvency procedure, an arrangement with creditors or a similar procedure under national laws and regulations

Explanation:

The benefit of using HVTS as the supplier is as follows:

• Affordable availability of 2nd hand equipment these items are immediately available at half the price of new test equipment which will in turn have a positive effect on timescales and delivery of service.

• Water terminations will work with the existing water conditioning unit at the test site ensuring continuity in supply.

• Whilst two pieces of equipment are new, it is more cost effective to include them in this contract, to ensure complete compatibility with existing systems.
