The delivery of the Regional Computerised Colposcopy System for cervical screening allows the Northern Ireland colposcopy service to be quality assured, meet the requirements of clinical governance and assess the performance and workloads of colposcopy clinics.
The system also standardises the collection of data and ensures that data collected from each of the NI colposcopy clinics is used to provide NHS Cervical Screening Programme minimum data requirements to enable the completion of the KC65 return.
Data extracted from the Regional Computerised Colposcopy Information System allows consultants to produce recertification audit documentation required for submission to the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP).
