two.2.4) Description of the procurement

We are planning to commission a mental health community-based support service that helps individuals recover from mental ill-health and prevents people from going into crises as a result of not getting the right help in relation to their mental health and wellbeing. This service will be designed to build resilience, empowering people to regain control of their lives and live as independently as possible by taking a person-centred, strengths-based approach.

It is envisaged that the service will include various elements, including community mental health champions, outreach floating support, emotional well-being drop-in spaces and the use of peer support. The focus will be on supporting individuals in making informed choices about their care and support, fostering stronger community connections, promoting social inclusion, and providing access to training, employment, and education opportunities.
