This contract also utilises modern secure private cloud hosting, reducing the overall cost and environmental impact of NGN's IT infrastructure, supported by an SCC Service Desk. Various elements from the Contract have been decommissioned and moved over to our own
AWS infrastructure, however, there are still some legacy applications which are still to be upgraded/replaced before we can host in AWS. This include GIS, CP Uptime, Brand, McAfee and Workbook Tracker, which are all active projects in 3iG's programme to enable the switch to AWS in the next 6-9 months.
This being the case, we therefore require a 1 year extension to cover the remaining requirements with SCC before it is fully moved over to AWS. As soon as these activities are complete, we can fully decommission our SCC estate.
