The contract will fund the services of a Higher Education Institution (HEI) as a key partner in the development of this programme. The main role of the HEI will be to facilitate the Action Learning Sets. For the purposes of the international audience the ALSs will be referred to as ‘Health System Strengthening Workshops’. These sets will be delivered online to teams of 5-8 current or future leaders from 8 low- and middle-income countries to co-develop solutions to identified health systems strengthening (HSS) issues.
The HEI will facilitate a total of 8 action learning set workshops for each country team. The ALSs will follow each of the four open seminars. The first ALS workshop will consider the themes raised in the seminars as well as country specific questions. The second will address any potential solutions and developments that have been considered. This pattern will repeat itself for each of the four seminars.
