Extension to the Gen AI Lighthouse Projects contract up to 31/10/25.

seven.2.2) Reasons for modification

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:

This contract extension is made in accordance with Regulation 72(1)(b) of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The extension is necessary to ensure continuity of service while a further competition under CCS RM6200 Artificial Intelligence DPS is concluded.

A change of supplier at this stage would be technically and economically impractical, as it would involve significant duplication of effort and cost, and risk service disruption. The value of this extension does not exceed 50% of the original contract value.
