Cheshire East Borough Council Children and Families Department has an exciting
opportunity for Providers of residential children’s care to support the Council with its
continuing journey to improving outcomes for our cared for children and young people.
The Council is seeking Suppliers, for the care and support of our cared for children and young
people within residential homes. This service will provide care to two separate homes within
the Borough of Cheshire East. The service is separated into two lots, Lot 1 is for a Cheshire
East Council owned property located in Crewe that will be leased to the successful supplier
and Lot 2 will be a new property located within the borough of Cheshire East that the
successful supplier will need to source and manage.

The Council is seeking Suppliers for the care and support to our cared for children and young
people within residential homes. This service will provide care to two separate homes within
the boundaries of Cheshire East. There are currently two commissioned homes in Cheshire
East (one in Crewe and one in Macclesfield) and this commission will therefore increase the
number of commissioned homes to four.
The care and support across our two new homes via this tender will operate in partnership
with our existing Children’s Home provider and the Local Authority ie Cheshire East (CE)
Social Care, CE therapeutic services, Fostering – CE Foster Carers and external fostering
agencies and other health partner agencies to provide intensive support to our child and
young people.
