Northumberland County Council intend to appoint one Provider to deliver an assessment and rehabilitation service offering advice, training and emotional support and also a floating support service to named people with visual impairment in their own homes for residents of Northumberland.
The procurement will be carried out under the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 following an Open style process.

The service will be provide:
• An assessment and rehabilitation service offering advice, training and emotional support
• A floating support service to named people in their own homes
The floating support service is delivered as part of the Housing Related Support Provision. The main purpose is to develop and maintain a person's ability to live independently in their own home.
The service will be provided to a minimum of 30 people living anywhere in the county at any one time.
Services will be provided in line with the outcomes of the UK Vision Strategy.
