Derry City and Strabane District Council invite suppliers to tender for PeacePlus Ballyarnett Early Years. The purpose of this tender is to deliver an Early Years Project focused within Ballyarnett DEA (predominantly CNR) but will outreach to recruit Parents, Toddlers and Early Years from across the City, District and Cross-border to meet cross-community requirements. The project will consist of 2 specific elements: 1. Parents and toddler’s-based element: Minimum target of 50 participants (Mixture of parents and children mainly under 5) engage in a range of workshops relevant to ages and stages of development. Includes Respecting Difference aspect to help break the cycle of sectarianism, racism, xenophobia and ‘othering’ in all its forms to ensure a better society for all children. 2. Early Years Staff shared knowledge element: Engages 5 Early Years organisations for 1 year in visits to each other’s centers, preschool and early year’s classrooms to see how they operate and engage with the children and parents in their community. Sharing knowledge, learning, and expertise and building each group’s skills and confidence in their roles as early year’s educators. Arising from the Co-design process in a Ballyarnett District Electoral Area (DEA), this project should strive to bring key benefit to that area. This project is under the Thriving and Peaceful Communities Theme. Please refer to the CfT documents for further detail.
