HEE is looking to commission an organisation(s) or partnership(s) with experience in writing training, education, skill, and competency standards to achieve the overall objective of standardising training for Neonatal Nurses. Reference will be made to RSM’s Neonatal Qualified in Specialty (QIS) Education and Training Review to ensure that the key areas of concern that have been outlined in the report are addressed.
Prospective providers must be able to engage with identified stakeholders and ensure that project outputs are widely socialised to increase the likelihood of early adoption across all ODNs in England once the national standard is published.
The standard must be developed in a format that is easy to understand and apply across all Neonatal Nursing workforce settings. The published document will also need to adhere to HEE’s brand and accessibility guidelines.
