The University seeks the expertise of a supplier to co-construct a solution for the design and operation of the STEAM experiment. The University is looking to secure the services of a single supplier, who will manage sub-contractors where needed, to design, commission and operate an in-shaft heating system and monitoring programme. This includes mine shaft entry, stakeholder liaison, baseline characterisation, design, build and operation of system, monitoring programme, waste handling and decommissioning. The supplier will work collaboratively with the research team and project partners including landowners, sensor suppliers for the duration.

STEAM seeks to appoint a supplier who can deliver the following non-exhaustive list:

- The supplier will work with the STEAM delivery team to identify the most appropriate way to access the mineshaft, safely, with minimal disturbance to baseline conditions within the shaft.

- The supplier will work with the STEAM delivery team to identify a technical design for delivery of heat to the shaft

- The supplier will liaise with the PI to develop a project timeline with key milestones and deliverables to be achieved in order to deliver the experiment. Details regarding specific dates will be confirmed on contract mobilisation.
