The purpose of this second phase of the Market Sounding Strategy is to determine the market’s capability, capacity and experience to support the delivery the Specialist Service Contracts for the Science Property Portfolio (mainly Weybridge).
The questionnaire in the prospectus (available on request from samantha.taylor@defra.gov.uk) is designed to inform how Defra can best meet its objectives in relation to the specialist service Contracts for the Science Property Portfolio. By seeking supply chain information this will support Defra’s decision making on the proposed delivery model, lotting strategy and specialist services.
The Specialist Service contracts are critical services that Defra are considering contracting directly with specialist suppliers for the maintenance of:
-Incinerators
-Effluence Treatment Plants
- HVAC
- Autoclaves
The contract will be multi-lot to open the opportunity to SMEs and smaller specialist suppliers.
This is the second part of a series of market engagement sessions that Defra will undertake as we progress through the project.
This market engagement will give you the chance to provide feedback on our current plans. It will also give you the opportunity to tell us about any alternative approaches or innovative ideas, to successfully manage the project delivery more efficiently and generate significant savings.
The questions primarily focus on:
• Proposed Delivery Model for the provision of FM Services in the Science property portfolio
