Invitation To Tender (ITT) for the provision of Breast Feeding Peer Support Service.
This is a joint tender between Tameside and Oldham Councils. Tameside Council is the lead council.
This tender is being conducted using the Open Procedure under the Light Touch Regime.
The Tameside and Glossop Strategic Commission, in partnership with Oldham Council, are looking to contract with a provider to implement and deliver a Breastfeeding Peer Support Service. The Councils are looking for an organisation that can provide an evidence led Breastfeeding Peer Support Service covering important periods including antenatal and postnatal. The service must be inclusive to residents and work on with relational, asset and place based approaches. It is expected that the Breastfeeding Peer Support Service will contribute to promoting a social and cultural shift where breastfeeding is viewed as the conventional way to feed a baby, as well as providing one to one and groups support.
Contract duration: 3 years plus an option to extend for up to 12 months.
Contract commencement date: 1st April 2022.
Estimated Annual Value: 203,390.
Estimated Total Contract Value: £813,560.
