The Housing Executive introduced its own in house ‘Mediation Service’ in 2002/2003 but in 2009 changed to employing the services of skilled mediation practitioners on a sessional basis, on this basis a Mediation panel was established and provided services across all of Northern Ireland. In 2017 the Housing Executive procured a mediation service provider to deliver the mediation service. This was a 5 year contract and the Housing Executive is now seeking to procure a new mediation service provider to deliver the mediation service. The mediation Contractor will be required to address 2 areas of provision, namely Community Cohesion which will be community v community mediation and Community Safety, neighbour v neighbour mediation.
