Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust ("BHFT") are undertaking an accredited supplier procurement for Patient Home Care Services within Berkshire in the following categories which will be procured as 2 separate lots within a single process.
Suppliers are invited to offer one or more of the following:
Lot 1: Domiciliary Care
Lot 2: Night Sitting
The Patient Home Care service promotes community based, person centred care and choice for service users wishing to remain within their own homes.
The aim of the procurement is to accredit up to 8 providers for Lot 1 and up to 3 providers will be awarded a contract for Lot 2. The Accredited Supplier List will be for the use of Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The contract will be for an initial duration of 24 months with an optional extension of any period up to 12 months.
This procurement is being carried out by NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit (SCW) on behalf of the Commissioners.

Lot 1: Domiciliary Care
Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to undertake a procurement for the provision of Patient Home Care Services which will be procured as 2 separate Lots, this Lot will cover Domiciliary Care.
Domiciliary Care refers to care for service users living in their own homes, care is provided at various times of the day to meet individual circumstances and need. The service will be accessible to service users aged over 18 who are registered with a GP within Berkshire West. It is envisaged that the service will be delivered predominately within West Berkshire and the surrounding area.
The service aims to deliver a safe, high-quality and person-centered care that is pro-active in continuously improving the services.

This Lot seeks to accredit up to 8 suppliers for an initial term of 2 years with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months as defined at the sole discretion of the Commissioner. Services are scheduled to on the 1st April 2023.

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to undertake a procurement for the provision of Patient Home Care Services which will be procured as 2 separate Lots, this Lot will cover Night Sitting.
Night Sitting refers to care for service users living in their own homes, who will have access to time-limited emergency night sitting between the hours of 22:00 and 07:00. The service will be accessible to service users aged 18 and over who are registered with a GP within Berkshire West. The service will cover Berkshire West localities including West Berkshire, Reading and Wokingham.
The service aims to deliver safe, high-quality and personalised care that is pro-active in continuously improving the service and facilitates hospital discharge as well as End of Life care.

The tendering process will be conducted in accordance with the requirements and flexibilities provided by Articles 74 to 76 of the Directive, and Regulations 74 to 76 of the Regulations. The Authority will run a transparent tender process, treating all Bidders equally. For the avoidance of doubt, the Authority will not be bound by the Regulations or any other regulations or legislation except for the specific parts or circumstances that apply to the procurement of these Services.

The Contracting Authority intends to voluntarily observe the award decision notices provisions and 10 day standstill period described in Regulation 86 of the Regulations. Unsuccessful Bidders will receive scores and reasons for the decision, including the characteristics and relative advantages of the winning bid and the reasons why the Bidder/application was unsuccessful. Deadline for lodging of appeals should be in accordance with Regulation 87 and Regulation 91 of the Regulations
