two.2.4) Description of the procurement
A new Pharmacy Aseptic Unit (PAU) building will be located at the Estover site of UHP. The facility will be a stand-alone new build on an existing plot built between the warehouse and staff car park. This PAU shall provide a facility suitable to be licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) for the processing and production of aseptically prepared products for the Trust and external customers, in particular cancer chemotherapy treatment preparation (cytotoxic), but also a range of general intravenous preparations (IV) and Parenteral Nutrition (PN). Additionally, new gene therapy products that will require its own dedicated and segregated suite. This tender is for the requirements for the supply, installation, commissioning, and validation and maintenance of three new negative pressure and two new positive pressure isolator systems, that will comply with the current Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements as described by the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
