A complete and extensive range of instruments is required to meet all clinical needs.

The Dental School is seeking evidence-based products and services to ensure the highest teaching and learning standards are met. It will require access to up-to-date and forward-facing technology in teaching and Clinical Practice.

The requirement consists of:

1) Dental Instruments & Rubber Dam Clamps

2) Cassettes for the Dental Instruments

3) Photo Trays and Contents

4) Rubber Dam Trays and Contents

List and brief description of conditions

Suppliers of Dental Handpieces must be members of the British Dental Industries Association (BDIA) or equivalent accredited body.

It is essential the Contractor ensures that the supplier and all goods supplied, comply with current legislation and regulations and carry appropriate safety markings. It is the Contractors responsibility to keep themselves informed of developments in this area and make changes to processes to continue to ensure compliance.

The manufacturer must be MHRA registered.

It is an essential requirement that any Contractor Representatives intending to visit the UBDS should register with the Life Science Industry National Credentialing Register and have their ID visible when in the building. www.lifescienceindustry.co.uk. This is a safeguard to allow the University to challenge anyone in the building for their ID.
