two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Isle of Wight Council (“the Authority”) are seeking to deliver a Sexual and Reproductive Health Service on the Isle of Wight.
The Authority requires a service for 12 months as the current contract will be ending in 2023 and the Authority will join other local commissioners in tendering an integrated level 3 Sexual Health Service across Isle of Wight, Hampshire, Portsmouth and Southampton to start in April 2024.
The aim of the service is to improve sexual health through the delivery of a range of accessible, high-quality, responsive, cost-effective, confidential, Integrated Sexual Health Services through a branded hub and spoke model of service provision to the local population. The service will also support the delivery of level 1 and 2 sexual health services in primary care and other community settings through clinical and system leadership and the development and provision of professional training, care pathways and the co-ordination of a local sexual health network.
Level 3 clinical services shall be Consultant-led and provided via a One-Stop Hub and Spoke Model. This service model includes the provision of the following Level 3 Sexual & Reproductive Health Services.
Access to the service should be through a range of appointment types, such as face to face, virtual, telephone and online. The Provider is required to ensure effective working relationships with commissioners and staff of interdependent services including existing HIV and termination of pregnancy services and with commissioners of national vaccination programmes for people at increased risk of certain infections to enable delivery of seamless pathways for service users.
