The purpose of the service the provision of a service for two tenants with a learning disability residing within the ABUHB area. The property is a bungalow in Caerphilly borough and is owned by First Choice Housing Association. The property will provide a local home for two tenants who require 24-hour support and will be commissioned by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB). The tenants have a learning disability, mental health needs, and Autism. The home will be staffed by a minimum of two staff at all times, 24 hours a day (this will be subject to review by clinical MDT and based on need)

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

ABUHB, Mental Health and Learning Disabilities (MH/LD) division commissioned Campbell Tickell to carry out a needs analysis in 2021 which recommended that supported living options were increased across the region for individuals with ASD/LD. As a result, ABUHB has worked alongside First Choice Housing Association to develop this bespoke accommodation. The development will allow individuals to have their own tenancy, where their care and support needs are personalised and can increase or decrease depending on the needs and outcomes of those that live there.

The Health Board is seeking a care provider who can support the health and social care needs of the individuals who will reside within the service.
