Working in co-ordination with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council, Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) would like to support a bus service providing coverage from areas of East Cleveland to Teesport.

The service should be operated in accordance with the Service 102 timetable (Part 5), which coordinates with company shift patterns to allow access to employment for workers at Teesport. As well as this, the service will provide new links to key employment sites at Wilton International, British Steel, and has the potential to serve Teesworks (when the Park and Ride site is complete).

As the purpose of this service is connectivity to Teesport employment opportunities, the final timetable will be subject to boarding restrictions, meaning users may only board from Easington to Dormanstown on the way to the site and alight from Dormanstown to Easington on return journeys.

TVCA is seeking to procure an operator to run the extension for a one-year pilot, there will also be an optional extension period of a further year, subject to agreement. During this period, TVCA will provide financial support for the service. There will be a 3-month cancellation clause for the contract, should this be required.
