The London Borough of Barnet (LBB) is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced organisations for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance for the Public Space Surveillance (PSS) CCTV camera system which is to be linked to a new fibre optic transmission system provided by BT that will be arranged by LBB, to be monitored from a newly created PSS Control Room at the London Borough of Barnet Offices 2 Bristol Avenue, Colindale, NW9 4EW. This facility will be created on the fifth floor in a newly created room for this purpose and will be refitted to replace the existing control room at the Emergency Public Safety Centre (EPSC) run by Enfield Council at Centre Way, Claverings Industrial Estate, Edmonton, London, N9 0AH. Additionally, the linking of the cameras and alert systems from the ten LBB libraries and the provision of Small Works to add to the camera systems when necessary.
