two.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s)

On behalf of Army HQ, Defence Equipment & Support is seeking to extend the framework for the provision of nUAS which can provide real-time Situational Awareness in all light conditions in support of Military activities to include sub-4kg systems. UAS systems required are described as: sub 4kg UAS with control for not Beyond Line of Sight. The system must be deployable quickly and must be rechargeable by in service equipment. The system must have sufficient sensors to operate to its intended use case in both day and night, emitting minimal noise to reduce the risk of detection. Future in year requirements may seek to explore swarming, collaborative control and modular payload options for this higher weight category. Contractors will form part of an industry/Army collaboration team and will be required to work alongside stakeholders in order to identify the future requirement on a task to task basis.
