To provide dedicated, professional, high quality emergency inter-hospital transport service for West Midlands neonatal and paediatric patients requiring transfer to centres with appropriate intensive care facilitates or repatriation transfer back to their local hospital neonatal/children’s ward. Journeys, to home, hospices and any other places decided by the transport team could also be undertaken. This paediatric transfer provision is currently delivered by the Kids Intensive Care and Decision Support (KIDS) service and Neonatal Transfer Service (NTS).
