The provision of care home services within the Borough of Calderdale for Older People. There are two types of care home - residential and residential with nursing. The aim of the services is to provide high quality, safe and personalised care home services that promotes choice, dignity, control and quality of life for all service users. The service must provide good quality care and support services which are efficient and provide value to service users.

Placements will be made depending on service user choice on where they want to live, as specified in the Care Act 2014.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The provision of care home services within the Borough of Calderdale for Older People. There are two types of care home - residential and residential with nursing. The aim of the services is to provide high quality, safe and personalised care home services that promotes choice, dignity, control and quality of life for all service users. The service must provide good quality care and support services which are efficient and provide value to service users.

Interested Service Providers will complete an Accreditation Application Form for assessment of suitability to deliver services under the contract. Contracts will be issued to Service Providers who pass the Accreditation process and does not carry any guarantee of work as placements in care homes are made depending on service user choice on where they want to live, as specified in the Care Act 2014.

two.2.14) Additional information

Applications are to be submitted by the Service Provider for each Care Home with no guarantee of work. Under the Care Act 2014, service users have full choice and control on where they want to live. The process for requesting an Accreditation Application Form is by request through email to ICCQT@calderdale.gov.uk

Contracts are awarded to the Service Provider that is registered with the Care Quality Commission, with an overall rating of 'Good' and, is successful in their Accreditation Application Form (AAF) that will be assessed for PASS/FAIL on the conditions set out in the AAF including Credit Checks and Technical References.
