Under the terms of this contract the successful supplier(s) will be required to deliver Community Benefits in support of the authority’s economic and social objectives. Accordingly, contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social and environmental considerations. The Community Benefits included in this contract are:

The successful supplier(s) will be expected to work in partnership with the Contract Manager to maximise the Community Benefits delivered throughout the term of this DPS. Examples of potential Community Benefits may include but are not limited to:

i. Offering recruitment and training opportunities to individuals not currently in education employment or training (NEETs)

ii. Creating opportunities for SMEs to bid for work through successful supplier’s(s’) supply chains

iii. Offering mentoring/business development support

iv. Supporting wider community initiatives or providing meaningful contributions to education

v. Provision of internal training for Council staff via CPD sessions to provide awareness of new products in the wider care sector

It is the Council’s intention to work with its supplier(s) throughout the term of the DPS to agree which benefits may be achievable.

When requested by the Council, the successful supplier(s) shall participate in initiatives to support the economic development goals of the Council.
