Provision of Consultant Cardiologist to provide Community Cardiology Outpatients Model, Clinical Leadership and support service developments. This is a one year contract with option to extend for a further period of 12 months

Basic criteria are met - service requirements below:

• Consultant Cardiologist and ability to act as Clinical Lead

• Professional membership with the General Medical Council

• Extensive relevant experience

• Ability to clinically triage incoming referrals for cardiology

including echocardiography

• Ability to undertake both telephone and face to face

consultations.

• Ability to record keep appropriately within allocated time.

• Able to provide clinical supervision to junior members of the

clinical team

• Able to contribute to cardiology MDTs.

• SystmOne trained

Provider meets all the above requirements evidenced through delivery of the current service and audit of qualifications.

The Service is in scope of PSR (Regulation 3 Schedule 1)

The proposed contracting arrangements are not changing considerably i.e. The considerable change threshold Regulation 6(10), 6(12) is not met

The Trust has undertaken an assessment against basic criteria and service specific key criteria and determined that the existing provider is satisfying the original contract and is likely to satisfy the proposed contract to a sufficient standard

The Trust is not required to follow Direct Award Processes A or B and the intention is to award under Direct Award Process C
