This procurement exercise for Kirklees Skills Bootcamps (the "Services") was conducted as a General Further Competition ("Further Competition") under the Electronic Market Place (EMP) Ref: KMCAS-164; Provision of Adult Education, Training, Employment & Lifelong Learning (the "EMP").
Tenders were invited by The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") from Suppliers appointed to Category 3 - Employability Provision of the EMP with relevant experience and ability for the Skills Bootcamp (the "Services") as detailed in the Further Competition documents.
The estimated value of the Services to be awarded is approximately £136,000.
The anticipated commencement date for the Call-off Contract(s) is 1st July 2024.
The anticipated expiry date for the Call-off Contract(s) is 31st March 2025. There is no provision to extend this contract.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Skills Bootcamp courses run for up to 16 weeks, 60 Guided Learning hours (non-digital), and up to100 guided learning hours (digital) and form part of the government's commitment to helping adults learn the necessary knowledge and skills for new jobs in expanding sectors, such as digital, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and green technologies. They are developed by training providers in partnership with employers.
Kirklees council seeks Skills Bootcamps that align with the West Yorkshire Local Skills Improvement Plan that enables employers and individuals to access the technical skills they need to support growth, transformation and increased productivity in our key sectors. To avoid duplication of our hyperlocal, regional and national Bootcamp offers - we specifically seek partners that can deliver Skills Bootcamps in the following sector:-
Construction & Green Technologies - We expect Skills Bootcamps will be representative of skills labour shortages in the construction industry, including restoration and preservation of Heritage and listed buildings, courses that support green and renewable technologies industry and courses that supports plant machinery operatives and groundworks.
