RIMNET (Radioactive Incident Monitoring Network) is a radiation monitoring and emergency response system which was installed in 1988 to monitor the consequences for the UK of radiological incidents abroad following lessons learned from the Chernobyl accident in 1986. The system is now utilised in the UK response to all major radiological events. The network consists of over 200 gamma dose rate monitors around the UK. The contract will be for the operation, maintenance and eventual replacement of the current network, as well as the supply of new monitors to enhance the current technology.

This procurement will take the form of a Restricted Procedure under the Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations (DSPCR) 2011. If you wish to participate and view the Invitation to Tender documents, please register on Jaggaer, respond to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire, and agree to the terms and conditions of the Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement by 12 noon on the 24.10.2022.
