two.1.4) Short description

Brent Council is conducting soft market engagement with relevant service providers in relation to its Parking and Traffic Enforcement Services (including Car Parks, On-Street, CCTV, IT provision, cashless parking and permit management) arrangements from 1 April 2023 onward, when the Council’s existing contract for these services is due to end.

The Council wishes to understand the potential level of interest within the private sector to provide these services in Brent. It would also like to engage specifically on the procurement options it is considering for the contract, the intended contract scope, and how service providers might operate alongside the Council’s Client Operations, Representations and Appeals and Highways services that would deliver a proportion of related functions (e.g. Traffic orders, lines/signs maintenance, safe school streets, low traffic neighbourhoods and CPZs).

This engagement intends to raise awareness of the Council’s requirements for the Service and to help inform the development of its procurement strategy, whilst also providing an opportunity for service providers to contribute to the design of future service delivery.

We would welcome expressions of interest from service providers interested in meeting with the Council on Tuesday 16 November 2021 for a soft market engagement session (format of the session to be confirmed).

Service providers that are interested in attending a meeting with the Council on this topic must register their interest by submitting a completed ‘expression of interest’ form and questionnaire using the messaging system of the online portal, no later than 17:00 on 9 November 2021

Service providers wishing to provide their views but who do not want to attend the engagement session with the Council are also invited to complete the questionnaire and to submit through the portal by the same deadline.

Please note that this notice does not commit the Council to any future competition or award. Participation in this soft market engagement will not prejudice supplies participating in any future procurement exercise.
