two.1.4) Short description

Hampshire County Council are currently gathering information to inform its options for the provision of an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification courses for social workers in its employment for the 2022 and 2023 programmes.

The courses must be approved by Social Work England.

This prior information notice is to signal an intention to engage with the market using a questionnaire. The purpose of the questionnaire is to assess levels of interest and to invite views and feedback on the proposed service delivery model. The County Council invites responses from all suitably qualified and experienced organisations.

Questionnaires must be submitted via In-Tend and we would really appreciated your feedback by Monday, 15th November 2021.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The AMHP course will be for up to 10 students beginning in September 2022, and up to 10 students in September 2023, and must be able to be delivered via a direct delivery model within Hampshire, a virtual model and a blended approach.

The contract value for the initial period cannot be in excess of £110,000. However, subject to funding availability, consideration could be given to a one year or two year extension.

There will be a requirement for close liaison between the course provider, the Learning and Development Team and the AMHP service operational lead to ensure that the course meets all necessary requirements.

The successful supplier will provide as a minimum:

- research materials;

- academic teaching;

- learning materials and course books;

- support for placements;

- oversight for any lecturer practitioners;

- administrative support for students;

- additional learning support for students (if required);

- independent assessment of the learning outcomes;

- quality control of academic standards.
