Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust ("KMPT") invites providers of Grounds and Gardens Maintenance Services to attend a virtual pre-procurement market engagement presentation.

The Trust's current Maintenance of Grounds and Gardens Service contract is due to expire on the 15th January 2025, and the Trust is anticipating that it will publish an open tender exercise mid-September 2024. The Trust's current expenditure is approximately £84,000 per annum.

Organisations who are interested in participating in the virtual market engagement presentation should express their interest by email to kmpt.procurement@nhs.net by 13:00 on Friday 30th September 2024, confirming the names, job titles and email addresses of their proposed attendees. Further details will be provided to interested organisations.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Kent & Medway NHS & Social Care Partnership Trust ("KMPT") invites providers of Grounds and Gardens Maintenance Services to attend a pre-procurement market engagement exercise, consisting of an overview presentation where providers will have the opportunity to learn more about the Trust's future service requirements and aspirations, procurement strategy and timetable, and to engage with a Q&A session. The Trust is anticipating that the presentation will be held virtually on Monday 2nd September 2024.

KMPT is a large Mental Health NHS Trust that employs approximately 3,800 staff from a wide range of professions, and operates from over 260 sites across the whole of Kent and Medway. KMPT provides a full range of mental health services to 1.8 million people across Kent and Medway. The Trust’s boundaries are shared with our social care partners in Kent County Council and Medway Council. In addition, KMPT operate a county-wide forensic psychiatry service.

The Trust's current Maintenance of Grounds and Gardens Services is due to expire on the 15th January 2024, and the Trust is anticipating that it will publish an open tender exercise mid-September 2024. The Trust's current expenditure is approximately £84,000 per annum.

The new Contract shall commence on the 16th January 2025, and is anticipated to run for a period of five (5) years, with the option to extend the term provided that the duration of the Contract shall be no longer than seven (7) years in total.
