ORE Catapult Development Services Limited is a subsidiary of Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult, and for the purpose of this requirement, ORE Catapult are facilitating the procurement process on behalf of ODSL. Any subsequent contract award from this process will be issued by ODSL.

The Joule team, ORE Catapult Development Services Limited (delivered by Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult) and National Composite Centre, are working on behalf of the Department of Energy Security and Net Zero. The team has the requirement to demonstrate innovations in wind turbine technology to decrease the cost of energy. The focus of Joule Phase 2b is a series of innovations to enable composite turbine towers.

The Joule team intends to procure three (3) prototypes of the composite tower, which will be tested to demonstrate the innovative technologies.

ODSL is conducting market research to identify what service options are available. Your feedback will be utilised to develop the commercial strategy and scope of works for the requirement.
